GENERAL
CONDITIONS FOR INFORMATION OF APPLICANTS
[1] Age limit relaxation
: SC & ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, internal candidates and candidates
applying through proper channel – 5 years.
Age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved category will be
considered only if the candidates submit an attested copy of caste certificate
issued by the competent authority. Further age relaxation may be considered in
case of deserving and highly experienced candidates at the discretion of the
appointing authority.
[2] Application Fee: (a) Rs.25/- for all Group `D’ and equivalent posts, (b) Rs.50/- for all Group `C’ posts and JRF/SRF/Research Students and other equivalent posts. (c) Rs.100/- for all Group `A’ & Group `B’ posts and Research Associates/ Research Scientists and other equivalent posts. Application fee is to be payable by a Demand Draft only, in favor of Director, ARI, Pune. (d) No application fee for SC/ST candidates applying with attested copy of the caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
[3] Candidates applying for more than one Post/Group/Project,
should submit separate application form for each post accompanied by separate
Demand Draft(s).
[4] In case of Project
positions like Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow/ Junior Research
Fellow/ Research Student, when candidate/s with essential qualifications is/are
not available, the position may be filled at a lower level, as per need.
[5] Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification.
[6] The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. In case number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
[7] The Institute reserves its rights to modify/ cancel the advertisement in partial or full and/or reject any or all applications received in response to the advertisement, without assigning any reason.
[8] Candidate need to apply along with all necessary documents on or before the prescribed last date. Applications received after the due date will not be considered.
[9] Interim enquiries will not be attended to/responded.

Applications are invited for
following temporary positions of Research Associate & Junior
Research Fellows as under:-
[1] Research Associate (1) for DBT Project `Bioproduction of lichen metabilites and their antimicrobial, antioxidant, cardiovascular – protective and anti-tumor activities in vitro’ (SP/157, period up to 11.11.2010) in Mycology Group. Stipend Rs.16000/- + HRA. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with experience in scaling up of secondary metabolites in fungal/ algal system and using bioreaction / fermentor and screening of biological activities in vitro. [2] Junior Research Fellow (1)
for DST Project `Taxonomic revision studies in the Lichen Family Graphidaceae
from
Age limit: R.A. 35 years, JRF 28 years.
In case of non availability of qualified JRF, candidates having 1st
Class M.Sc. degree (as above) may be considered for Research Studentship on
stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m.

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Applications are invited for temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (1) under the DBT Project `Characterization of angiogenic factor (s) from the perivitelline fluid of Indian horseshoe crab embryos’ (SP/139, period up to 05.10.2009). Stipend JRF- Rs.12000/- + HRA. Age limit: 28 years, relaxable by 5/3 years in case of SC, ST/OBC candidate.
Qualifications: Essential (1) 1st Class M.Sc. in any area of Biology & (2) clearance of JRF exam. of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE above 90 percentile. Desirable : Experience in Animal Tissue Culture.
In case of non availability of qualified JRF, applicants with 1st class M.Sc. as above, will be considered for a lower position of Research Studentship @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m.
