WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

 

            Applications are invited for temporary position of Junior Research Fellow/Research Student under the ARI Project `Analysis of embryonic profiles of cholesterol and phospholipids and identification of possible role in early development’ (ZOO-11, period of one year)   Stipend JRF- Rs.8000/- + HRA, for Research Student Rs.7000/- (fixed). Age limit: 28 years, relaxable by 5/3 years in case of SC, ST/OBC candidate.

 

Qualifications: Essential (1) 1st Class M.Sc. Zoology/ `A’ Grade with Developmental Biology/ Molecular Biology as one of the subjects.& (2) clearance of JRF exam. of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE above 90 percentile.  Desirable : Ability to handle Drosvphila/ Frog/ chick embryos and culture systems.

            Applications are invited for following temporary positions in the Microbial Sciences Division & Biometry & Nutrition Group:-

 

[1] Research Scientist initially for a period of one year on a consolidated monthly emoluments of Rs.25000/-. Qualifications: Essential: Ph.D. in Microbiology. Desirable: Minimum 6 years experience in the field of biomethanation / waste water treatment processes and scale up trials and anaerobic bacteria with good publication record and knowledge of technology transfer, patent etc.[Code:RS-MSD]

 

[2] Junior Research Fellows (4) one each under the (1) ARI Projects (a) `Secondary Metabolites of Extremophiles’ [MIC-25 up to March 2008] & (b) `MACS Culture collection and biodiversity studies’ [MIC-10 duration 1 year], (2) CSIR Project `Biotechnology for leather : Towards clearer processing Phase II’ [SP/130 up to Dec. 2008] & (3) AICOPTAX Project on Bacteria and archaea [SP/69 up to March 2008]. Stipend Rs.8000/- + HRA p.m. Qualifications: Essential: 1st Class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology and clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE with 90 percentile or above. Desirable: Experience in handling microbial cultures, enzymological work microbiological techniques, operation of fermenter and research experience. [3] Project Co-ordinator & Data Entry Operator (1 each) under the DST Project `Implementation of WOS-B Scheme’.  Duration up to July 2010.  Stipend : Project Co-ordinator Rs.15000/- (fixed) p.m. with annual increment @ Rs.500/-, D.E. Op. Rs.6000/- (fixed) p.m. with annual increment @ Rs.500/-.  Qualifications : (A) P.C.: Essential: 1st Class M.Sc. with 4 to 5 years experience of co-ordinating research activities.  Work will involve travel.  Desirable: Experience of writing project reports, arranging scientific meetings, communication skills and should be good in English. (B) Data Entry Op.: Essential: B.Com. 1st Class with computer knowledge and 2 years working experience, knowledge of Tally.  Desirable: Efficiency in communication skills and in handling e-correspondence.
