Applications are invited for following temporary positions:

[A] Research Associate (1) for the CSIR Project `Late Quaternary Environmental Changes in the coastal Plains of Southern Kerala, Southeast India’ (SP/123, period up to Dec. 2007), Stipend Rs.11000/- + HRA, Age limit 35 years. Qualifications : Essential :1^st Class M.Sc. in Botany/Geology and Ph.D. Desirable: Publication in reputed journals. [Code:RA-SP/123]

In case of non-availability of qualified RA, the position may be filled at lower level of SRF on a stipend of Rs.9000/- + HRA OR JRF on a stipend of Rs.8000/- + HRA, with clearance of M.Sc. as above + CSIR-UGC JRF exam.

[B] Research Associate (1) for the AIR Project `Tagging of some important disease resistance and quality trials in wheat’ (GEN-4 period 1 year), Stipend Rs.16000/- + HRA, Age limit 35 years. Qualifications : Essential :1^st Class M.Sc. in Food Science & Nutrition/ Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Food Science. Desirable: (1) Research experience on quality and sensory attributes of food products, nutritional analysis and bio-availability assays, (2) ability of writing research reports. [Code:RA-GEN-4]

[C] Junior Research Fellow (1) for the MOES Project `On the sea level changes, neotectonic and evolution of South Andaman Coast, Andaman Sea’ (duration 3 years). Stipend Rs.8000/- + HRA, Age limit 28 yrs. Qualifications: Essential: 1^st Class M.Sc. in Geology with clearance of CSIR-UGC JRF exam. Desirable: Graduate with Zoology/Geology subject with good academic record. [Code:JRF-SP/146]

[D] Junior Research Fellow (1) for the ARI Project (ZOO-10) `In vitro culture of cells from developing chick embryo’ (duration up to May 2008). Stipend Rs.12000/- + HRA, Age limit 28 yrs. Qualifications: Essential: (1) 1^st Class M.Sc. in any area of Life Sciences & (2) clearance of CSIR-UGC JRF exam. Desirable: Experience in animal tissue culture. [Code:JRF-ZOO-10]

In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, the positions may be filled at lower level of Research Student on monthly stipend of Rs.7000/-(fixed). Rate of monthly fellowship under the sponsored projects are likely to be revised.
