RECRUITMENT OF R A & SRF/JRF

 

Applications are invited for temporary posts under the sponsored projects in the Microbial Sciences Division being filled in through walk-in-interviews on 07.03.2008 at 10.00 a.m., as detailed below: - 

 

[A] Research Associate (2) one each under CSIR Project `Design and Development of environmentally secure rare earth based colorants for surface coating applications’ (SP/125 duration up to 28.08.2008) and Indo-US Project `INDO-US joint R & D network centre in bioremediation and phytoremediation of chemopollutants’ (SP/136 period up to 02.07.2008). Stipend:Rs.16000/- (fixed)+15% HRA. Qualifications: Essential: M.Sc. in Microbiology & Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology. Desirable: for CSIR Project: Publications in journals and experience in anaerobic and molecular techniques, for Indo-US Project: Experience in area of bioremediation, operating analytical instruments like HPLC, bioreactor studies.[Code: RA-SP/125 & 136]. 

 

[B] Senior Research Fellow (1) under CSIR NMITLI Project `Biotechnology for leather: Towards cleaner processing Phase II’ Stipend:Rs.14000/-+HRA  Qualifications: Essential: 1st class M.Sc. with 2 yrs. Experience & two international publications. [Code: SRF-SP/130].

 

[C] Junior Research Fellow/ Research Student (1) for the NTPC Project `Anoxic Microbial sequestration of carbondioxide present in flue gases to methane’. Stipend: Rs.8000/- +HRA for JRF/ Rs.7000/-(fixed) for RS. (likely to be revised). Qualifications: Essential: 1st class M.Sc. Microbiology with clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE above 90 percentile score. Desirable: Experience on Microbial fermentation. [Code:JRF-SP/127] In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, candidates with M.Sc. degree as above, may be considered for Research Studentship.

 

General conditions : Age limits in yrs. R.A.-35, SRF-30 & JRF/RS-28, relaxable by 3/5 years for OBC/SC & ST  candidates.  Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website http://www.aripune.org., along with attested copies of qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, and application fee of Rs.100/- for R.A. & Rs.50/- for SRF/JRF, payable by Demand Draft in favor of Director, ARI, Pune, up to  04.03.2008.   Candidates applying by the prescribed date are requested to directly appear for walk-in-interviews 07.03.2008 on the address given above.  No T.A. is payable for attending the interview.  Other applicable general conditions are also available on website.
