(A) Senior Technical Assistant
(1) under ICAR Soybean Project. Pay-scale

Class M.Sc.(Agri.)/M.Sc. Botany with
specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable
: 1 year research experience on working with breeding of cereal oilseed

Scientific Assistant for Biometry Group (2). Pay-scale Rs.4500-125-7000. Qualifications:
for Biometry : Essential: (a)1st Class B.Sc. with Food
Science & Nutrition/ Health Science/ Biostatistics/ Biochemistry/
Analytical Chemistry/ Molecular Biology & (b) 5 yrs. Experience of working
on research projects. Desirable: 1st class M.Sc. in the above subjects with 2 years
experience in (i) handling sophisticated equipments required for food and
clinical estimation OR industrial experience. (ii) nutrition

(G) Junior Scientific Assistant (2) under DST Project in Mycology. Pay-scale Rs.4500-125-7000. (Post No.1): Essential:1st Class B.Sc. in Botany/Mycology/ Microbiology. Desirable: M. Sc. in Botany/Mycology/ Microbiology or 3-4 year experience (after B.Sc.). Job Requirements: Collection of mycological samples from field, in-vitro culture and microscopic slide preparation, knowledge of computer application, data entry and handling of laboratory equipments. Reservation : JSA:- Post in Chemistry Group has been reserved for ST candidate, out
of 6 remaining posts, 2 are reserved for OBC non-creamy layer and 1 for SC
candidates. Selected candidates will
have to submit a copy of the validity certificate while resuming on duty.
Age
Limit : STA & JSA-35 yrs relaxable by 3/5
years for OBC/SC & ST respectively as per rule. DP, HRA, CCA, DA, TA. etc.
are applicable as per Central Govt. Rules.
GENERAL :
Application Fees Rs.50/-, payable by DD only in favor of Director, ARI, Pune. No application fee for SC/ST candidates
applying with copy of the caste certificate issued by competent authority. Apply in the prescribed format available on
Website http:/www.aripune.org., to the Director ARI,
Pune along with attested copies of certificates of qualifications & D.D.,
stating the Code No. on envelope before the last date. Candidates applying for more than one
Post/Group, should submit separate application form
for each post accompanied by separate Demand Draft(s). Canvassing in any
form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as
a disqualification. The prescribed
essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not
entitle the candidate to be called for interview.
In
case of number of applications received in response to the advertisement is
large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all
the candidates. The Institute may
restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable
limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum
prescribed in the advertisement. Interim
enquiries will not be attended to. Last
date for receipt of application is 30.06.2008.
