Applications are invited for following temporary positions on purely contract basis for duration of the respective project:

Research Scientist (1) under the Generation Challenge Programme (CIMMYT, Mexico) -ARI Project, `Generating new wheat germplasm with enhanced drought/heat tolerance using AB genomes genetic diversity’ being operated in the Genetics Group (period up to December 2011). Qualifications: Essential: M.Sc. Botany/M.Sc. Agril. Botany & Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding. Desirable: 2-3 years experience in breeding activities. [Code: Res.Sc./SP-166]

Research Scientist (1) under the ARI Project, `AHMA Digitization’ being operated in the Botany Group (duration initially 1 year, likely to be extended). Qualifications: Essential: 1^st class M.Sc. Botany with Angiospesms as special subject and Ph.. Ph.D. Desirable: Experience in handling of the database and research projects independently. [Code: Res.Sc./BOT-15]

Monthly consolidated salary Rs.30000/-. Age limit: 35 years. (Relaxable by 5 yrs in case of SC/ST & 3 yrs in case of OBC candidates)
