TENDER FOR SECURITY   CONTRACT

 

 

Sealed Tenders are invited from reputed and registered Security Contractors for guarding the Institute premises round the clock with the help of  a total strength of one Supervisor and seven Guards (preferably Ex-servicemen). Interested contractors, who fulfill all legal requirements to provide security staff may collect the  blank tender form  on payment of a  non-refundable tender fee of Rs.100/- in cash counter of Accounts and   submit their bids (technical and commercial bids separately in sealed envelopes) by  06.07.2009  (1730 hrs).

    of  Earnest  Money Deposit (EMD),  which  will  be  refundable  to  unsuccessful  bidders

    (with conditions as may be stipulated by the Institute). In case the amount of EMD is not

    paid along with the technical bid, the tender is likely to be rejected, which may be noted.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SECURITY CONTRACT AT ARI

 

1.      Security should be arranged with one Supervisor, six Guards and one reliever. Names and addresses of these personnel should be submitted to the Institute well in advance.

 

2.      All statutory aspects and welfare measures in this connection, such as Minimum Wages, PF, ESI etc.  should be fulfilled by the Security Contractor. The Contractor will be the principal employer of the Security Staff provided in the premises of ARI.

 

3.      Qualification for Security Supervisor should be of H.S.C. and a retired J.C.O. and  for Security Guards, they should be minimum of S.S.C. passed  & Ex-servicemen.

 

4.      Security Supervisor should be in the age group of 30-50 years while the Security Guards should be  within the age group of 20 to 40 years. Uniform must be worn by the Security Staff while on duty. The staff must be neatly dressed and smartly turned out at all times.

 

5.      Both, the Security Supervisor and the Security Guards, should be able to write, read and speak English, Hindi & Marathi languages.

 

6.      They should be familiar  with normal duties of watch and ward, vigilance, security scrutiny/search, fire fighting, liaison with Police, telephone operation etc.

 

7.      They should be healthy and pleasant in appearance and conduct.

 

8.      Complete required  strength  should be posted always, failing which  penalty of double the absentee charges will be imposed. No overtime duty by the Security Guard is permissible.

 

9.      Security Supervisor has to be present in the Campus on all working days and other days of importance from 0845 hrs to 1745 hrs or on as required basis (Except on the day of weekly off).

 

10. A Security Deposit equal to 10% of the annual amount should be deposited with the Institute prior to the commencement of the contract.

 

11. Attendance Register should be maintained for the Security Staff. Other registers which are required to be shown to the Government Inspectors (Minimum Wages etc.) may be maintained and shown to the authority concerned.

12. Supervisor/Officer-in-Charge/responsible person must be accessible throughout 24 hours in case of emergency.

 

13. The Security Staff will operate water pumps as per schedule. Timings are to be observed keenly so that no overflowing of water  takes place. They will also control the switching on and off of lights at given timings. They will have also to carry out other administrative duties on as required basis.

 

14. They will issue and receive the keys of various Groups/Departments with proper entries in the Key Register maintained at the gate.

 

15. They will attend telephone calls during and after working hours and on holidays and record the messages, if any, in the register provided for the purpose. No outsiders will be allowed to use the telephone facility available in the Campus.

16. The following registers are to be maintained at the Main gate :-

     a)          Visitors' Register and Visitors' Passes.

     b)          Gate Pass register and Gate Passes.

     c)          Vehicles In/Out Register.

     d)          Register for staff for going out/coming in during office hours.

     e)          Key register.

     f)           Register of telephone messages.

     g)          Event Register (for any unusual events/incidents/ accidents).

     h)          Visiting reports of Agency.

i)                      Late Attendance Register

 

17. Routine and surprise day and night checking is to be done by your Supervisory staff and submit  reports  to this effect to the Administrative Officer.

 

18. The Contractor has  to provide extra guards and supervisory staff whenever required during industrial disturbances or other commitments.

 

19. At special occasions lady searchers/guards may have to be provided.

 

20. Security equipments like lathis, torches, gum boots,  rain coats etc. are required to be given by the Contractor.

 

21. This Contract is for a period of one year from_____________. During this period,  the Contract may be terminated at any time without giving any reason by one month's notice by  either side without giving any reasons at anytime.

 

22. The security staff will operate the generator whenever the main supply fails.
