(1) Research Scientist (One) For Botany Group, initially
for a period of one year on a consolidated monthly emoluments of Rs.25000/-.
Qualifications: Essential: (1) 1st class M.Sc./ M.Pharm.
in Pharmacology/ Biochemistry. (2) 2
years experience and publication in the field of pre-clinical/ toxicological
studies in lab animals in reputed journals. Desirable: Ph.D. in Pharmacology/ toxicology, knowledge of
toxicity/ pharmacological screening of plant drugs, new chemical entities well
versed with GLP norms for animal-house facility. Walk-in-interview on

(2) Research Scientist (One) For Microbial Sciences Division,

Essential: (1)Ph.D.

processes. Desirable: Experience on

Project `Use of molecular marker technology – Approach in wheat quality

Breeding. Desirable: Research experience in handling molecular biology

for Geology Group under ARI Project
`Ichnofauna and paleoenvironment
of the Jaisalmer formation (Bathonian-Callovian),
Rajasthan. (GEO-17) Period
up to March 2011. Qualifications:
Essential: 1st Class M.Sc.(Geology) and Ph.D. in Geology with Palaeontology/
Stratigraphy/ Sedimentology
as specialization. Desirable: Publication in related field, ability to

for Mycology Group under ARI
Project `Studies on Forest Fungi’ (MYC-03)
Period up to March 2010. Qualifications: Essential: 1st
Class M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Botany/ Mycology &
Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science Desirable: (i) In-vitro
culture of fungi from natural sources and preservation. (ii) Morphological and
molecular characterization of fungi and (iii) 2-3 years experience in handling

(i) `In vitro culture of cells from developing chick
embryo’ (ZOO-10) Period up to May 2009. (ii) ARI `Differential proteomics to

(ZOO-12, period up to March 2009). Qualifications: Essential: 1st
Class M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Zoology/ Biotechnology/
Biochemistry. Desirable: Experience in Animal Tissue Culture/ protein

(7) Senior or Junior Research
Fellow (one) in Palaeobiology Group under CSIR Project `Ichnologic
events in the palaeogene formations of Kachchh,
(8) Research Students (three) for Biometry Group one each
under Project (i) `Understanding early origins of blood pressure among young
rural adults (Cohort study)’ (BIO-19 period up to March 2009), (ii) `Copper
exchange reaction between copper-albumin and L-Histidine’
(BIO-21 period up to March 2009) & (iii) `Studies in health and nutritional
quality of Sorghum varieties and hybrids’ Project (period 1 year, NRCS/SP/164).
Qualifications: for BIO-19: Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in
Nutrition/ Health Science. Desirable:
Two years working experience on community nutrition and health related project.
For BIO-21: Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in
Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Chemistry. Desirable: One year experience in areas such as protein chemistry,
enzyme assays, analytical methods, metal estimations
and method developments. For NRCS:
Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in
Biochemistry. Desirable: experience in analysis of
food or herbs for micronutrients and antioxidants. Fresh M.Sc.

Qualifications: Essential: (i) 1st Class M.Sc. in Zoology/ Biotechnology/ any area of Life Sciences

In case of non availability of qualified JRF, candidates having 1st
Class M.Sc. degree (with subjects applicable) may be
considered for Research Studentship on stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m. Those candidates
who have appeared for final exam of M.Sc. may also
apply for Research Studentship
