Applications are invited
from Indian nationals for the following temporary posts :-
(1) Senior Technical Assistant 4 posts ( ICAR Wheat Project-2, Soybean Project-1 & Grape
Project-1). Out of 2 posts under Wheat Project, 1 is reserved for OBC
non-creamy-layer)..
Pay-scale Rs.5500-175-9000 (TME Rs.12625/-). Qualifications: for Wheat Project : Essential
: 1st Class M.Sc. Botany/ M.Sc.Ag.(Agri. Botany) with specialization
in Genetics & Plant Breeding.. Desirable :
1 year experience in conducting trials of crop plants preferably wheat. For Soybean Project
: Essential: 1st Class M.Sc.(Agri.)/M.Sc. Botany with
specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable : 1 year
research experience on working with breeding of cereal oilseed crops. For Grape
Project: Essential: M.Sc.Agri(Horticulture)/
M.Sc. Botany. Desirable::

(2) Junior
Scientific Assistant 3 posts (1 for Biometry Group & 2 for Chemistry Group)
Out of 2 Posts for Chemistry Group, 1 is reserved for ST. Pay-scale
Rs.4500-125-7000 (TIME Rs.10375/-). Qualifications: for Biometry
: Essential: (a)1st Class B.Sc. with Food Science &
Nutrition/Biochemistry & (b) 5 yrs. Experience of working on research
projects. Desirable: M.Sc. in Food
Science & Nutrition with 2 years working experience on blood estimations using auto
analyser. For Chemistry: Qualifications: Essential: Essential : 1st Class B.Sc. Chemistry with 5
years experience. Desirable:
Research experience in `Natural Product Chemistry’ or `Synthetic Organic

(3) JUNIOR LABORATORY
ASSISTANT (1 for Biometry Group) Pay-scale Rs.3050-75-3950-80-4590. (TME
Rs.7058/-): Qualifications: Essential: 1st class B.Sc.
Statistics/ Nutrition. Desirable: Knowledge of computer and handling
statistical software, 2 years working experience on research project related to

Age Limit : JLA-30 years, JSA & STA - 35 yrs, relaxable by 3/5 years for OBC/SC & ST respectively as per rule. DP, HRA, DA, TA. etc. are applicable as per Central Govt. Rules.
NOTE : The candidates selected for
ICAR Projects may be posted at the Agricultural Farm at Hol, Atphata, Tal. Baramati, Dist. Pune, at the discretion of the Institute.
GENERAL : Application Fee Rs.100/- for STA
and Rs.50/- for JSA & JLA payable by DD only in favour of Director, ARI,
Pune. No application fee for SC/ST
candidates applying with copy of the caste certificate issued by competent

on request on E-mail), to the Director ARI, Pune alongwith copies of
certificate of qualifications & D.D., stating the Code No. on envelope before
the last date. Candidates applying
for more than one Post/Project/Group, should submit
separate application form for each post accompanied by separate Demand
Draft(s). Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political
or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification. The prescribed essential qualifications are
bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be
called for interview. In case of number
of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not
be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the
candidates. The Institute may restrict
the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on
the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed
in the advertisement. Interim enquiries
will not be attended to. Last date for receipt of hard copy of application is
