Applications are invited for temporary positions as under –

 

A]        DBT Project ‘Mobilizing QTL/Genes for quality Traits into High Yielding Wheat Varieties Through Marker-Assisted Selection’ (SP-179), Period up to 22.09.2014

 

            (1) Junior Research Fellow   2 Posts             [Code: JRF/SP/179]

 

            Qualifications Essential : (i)1st class M.Sc. in  Botany/ Agriculture/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry (ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE above 90         percentile.     

            Desirable: Basic knowledge of Botany and Plant Cytogenetics Exposure to molecular biology techniques

 

            (2) Research Associate         1 Post              [Code: RA/SP/179]

 

            Qualifications: Essential (i) 1st class M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Botany/ Agriculture/

                                       Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.

            Desirable: Research experience in Molecular biology as evidenced by published papers in standard referred journals

 

B]        DBT Project ‘Molecular marker assisted development of biofic stress resistant wheat varieties’ (SP-181), Period up to 23.09.2014

 

            (3) Senior Research Fellow   2 Posts             [Code: SRF/SP/181]

 

            Qualifications (Senior Research Fellow)

 

            Essential         (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Botany/Agriculture/Biotechnology/Biochemistry

                                    (ii) At least two years of post M.Sc. research experience as evidenced from fellowship and/or published papers in standard referred journals

            Desirable        Basic knowledge of Botany and Plant Cytogenetics

                                    Exposure to molecular biology techniques

           

C]        ICAR Project ‘Physiological: Water use efficiency (Root Trials)’ (SP-183), Period up to 22.09.2012

 

            (4) Senior Research Fellow   1 Post              [Code: SRF/SP/183]

 

            Qualifications: Essential:(i) 1st class M.Sc. Agri. (Botany) OR M/Sc. Botany/ 

                                      Physiology/ Genetics (ii) At least two years of post M.Sc. research

                                      experience as evidenced from fellowship and/or published papers in

                                      standard referred journals

            Desirable        Experience of 2 years in wheat/ crop research.

            Age Limit        JRF – 28 Years            SRF – 32 Years           RA – 35 Years

                                    (Relaxable as per rules)

 

 

In case of non availability of qualified JRF, candidates having M.Sc. degree with 55% marks (as above) may be considered for Research Studentship on stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m.

 

Initial appointment period for all posts will be one year.  Further extension will be granted depending upon the performance.
