Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science(MACS)
invites applications from Indian nationals for the post of Director at the Agharkar
Research Institute (ARI), Pune. ARI
is an autonomous Institute fully financed by the Department
of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, specializing in Plant, Animal, and Microbial research
including nanobioscience.
Qualification:
A doctoral degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized
University/Institute. Minimum 12
years postdoctoral research experience with high quality publications in
front line areas of life sciences
and commensurate administrative experience.
Age
limit: Below 50 years, relaxable up to 5 years for candidates working in Central
Govt./ State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/
Autonomous Institutes.
Pay
Scale: PB-4 (Band Rs.37400-67000/-)plus Grade Pay of Rs.12,000/-(TME at the entry level
Rs.88,496/-pm).
The selected candidate will be the administrative head
and research leader of the Institute.
The incumbent will be required to coordinate diverse areas of scientific
research and administrative activity and also pursue his own research
