Applications are invited for following temporary positions under the sponsored projects in the Biometry & Nutrition Group, which are being filled in through Walk-in-interview to be held on Friday the 23rd April 2010, as detailed below:

 

[A] Project Co-ordinator (1) under the DST Project ‘Developing Community based approach for prevention and management of Anemia through nutritional inputs and awareness among young rural women in India’ (SP-184, Period up to December 2011).               [Code: PC/SP/184]

 

Qualifications: Essential : 1st class M.Sc. in  Biochemistry/ Food Science & Nutrition with 5 yrs research experience in Nutritional Biochemistry especially in estimation of micronutrients.  The work involves supervision and co-ordination of research activities both at laboratory and field level as well as travel in different states outside Maharashtra..  Desirable: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/ Food Science & Nutrition with 2 yrs research experience in the area of Nutritional Biochemistry

 

Monthly Stipend: Rs.14000/- (fixed),  Age Limit      32 Years, (Relaxable as per rules)

 

[B] Research Student (three) under the DSR Project on `Sorghum grain sample analysis’ (SP/164, period up to 02.02.2011).                                                                    [Code: RS/SP/164]

           

Qualifications: Essential : 1st class M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Biotechnology.  : Desirable        1 year experience in food analysis

 

Monthly Stipend : Rs.11,000/- (fixed).  Age Limit : 28 Years (Relaxable  as per rules)

 

Last Date of submission of application in prescribed format alongwith necessary documents is 20.04.2010 up to 5.00 p.m.
