Applications are invited for a temporary position of Senior Research Fellow under the DBT Project ‘Marker assisted selection for development of kunitz trypsin inhibitor free soybean varieties’ (SP-180, Period up to 28.09.2014) in Genetics Group of Plant Sciences Division.  [ Post Code: SRF/SP/180]

 

Qualifications: 

 

Essential         (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Agriculture /Botany /Biotechnology

                        (ii) At least two years of post M.Sc. research experience of as evidenced from

                              fellowship and/or published papers in standard referred journals.

 

Desirable        Specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding with experience in Crop

                        Breeding/ Biotechnology on soybean/legume crops.

 

Fellowship       Rs.14000/- (fixed) + 20% HRA per month.

                                     

 

Age Limit        SRF – 32 Years, JRF/Research Student – 28 Years (Relaxable as per rules)

 

 

In case of non availability of qualified SRF, candidates having M.Sc. degree with 55% marks (as above) with clearance of CSIR-UGC Exam of JRF may be considered for Junior Research Fellowship @ Rs.12000/- + HRA OR candidates having M.Sc. only (as above) for Research Studentship on stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m.

 

Initial appointment period will be one year.  Further extension will be granted depending upon the status of the project & performance of the appointee.
